we then drove home, returning to LA around 10:30pm. If that doesn't seem crazy enough, Steve left early the next day for another conference in Banff! :) We had a great time, but next time we will probably bring swim suits to take advantage of the pool and hot tub.

BackBlog.Utah Canyoneering -- 5/26 - 6/1/2007

Ken, Keith and I ran 6 canyons in south west Utah. We spent most of the time in the Robber's roost area and enjoyed a great camp site. Ken brought a huge tarp and we strung it between the two cars for shade. Keith brought a cooler that contained several pounds of cheese. I took notes on the canyons and found lots of pretty rocks.

Notes: Fun canyon exit, followed by difficult route finding outside the canyon.

Notes: Difficult to find the canyon exit -- the described "moki steps" looked more like a blank wall. Make sure to bring rock shoes & gps.

Notes: Non-technical canyon with lots of neat rock paintings.

Notes: Super canyon! Nice mix of rapels, down/up climbs and beautiful views. Car shuttle = most of trip in the canyon.
